Experience Days are delivered as personalised voucher kits that will allow you or the recipient to book the selected experience day at your convenience. Each voucher kit comes with everything you need to know to book the experience.

Delivery times
Voucher kits are normally dispatched within 1 working day to your delivery address please allow up to 6 working days for delivery of your experience day voucher pack.

Booking your experience
Booking experiences is done over the phone with your voucher kit, You will usually need to book at least 2 weeks in advance for your experience day.

Experience day vouchers are valid for a period 9 months and vouchers are marked with their expiry date.

Description

Enjoy a great day learning to sail. This is specifically geared towards beginners so no previous experience is required. If you think sailing is all about lounging around drinking wine then think again, this experience is all about rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. You will be an active crew member and encouraged to take part in many aspects of sailing the yacht, including setting sails, tacking and helming.

The exact itinerary will depend on weather conditions and tides on the day but you will meet at the yacht in the morning for refreshments and a safety briefing from your skipper. After which it is time to set sail out to the open water. From Ipswich you may drop the anchor off the coast for a light lunch or eat underway. from After another session in the afternoon your day sailing will finish by returning to shore in the evening.

When you can go?

Selected weekdays and weekends, April to November.

Your sailing activity will last a full day.

Things you need to know

To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old.
You'll need to be reasonably fit to take part in this activity as you will be expected to help out with sailing the yacht. This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users. This experience is not suitable if you suffer from any serious medical condition
